Position Title: Junior Restoration Technician

Department: Field Operations

Reports To: Lead Technician (day‑to‑day) and Project Manager/Owner

Employment Type: Full‑time, hourly (overtime as required by jobs)


Position Summary

The Junior Restoration Technician supports on‑site water, fire, mold, and general cleaning projects for Roeun’s Restoration and Cleaning. This is an entry‑level, hands‑on role designed to build the technical and safety skills needed to advance to Lead Technician. Under close supervision, the Junior Technician performs demolition, cleaning, drying, and equipment‑handling tasks while learning company procedures, industry best practices (IICRC), and customer‑service standards.


Area Typical Duties

Job‑Site Setup & Safety • Load/unload tools and materials.• Erect containment, place warning signs, and wear proper PPE.• Follow OSHA and company safety policies at all times.

Mitigation & Cleaning • Remove damaged drywall, flooring, insulation, and debris.• Operate water‑extraction machines, air movers, dehumidifiers, HEPA vacuums, and hand tools.• Perform smoke/soot wipe‑down, odor control, and content pack‑out under guidance.

Documentation • Photograph before/after conditions and label files correctly.• Record equipment placement, readings, and material disposal logs on mobile app or work order sheets.

Equipment & Inventory • Clean, disinfect, and restock tools after each job.• Report damaged or low‑stock items to the Lead Technician.

Customer Interaction • Greet property owners politely, answer basic questions, and direct concerns to the Lead Technician or Project Manager.• Maintain a neat appearance and respect client property.

Learning & Development • Complete assigned IICRC or manufacturer training modules.• Shadow Lead Technician to learn moisture‑mapping, drying goals, and quality standards.• Attend weekly toolbox talks and safety drills.


Qualifications

• Education: High‑school diploma or equivalent required.

• Experience: No prior restoration experience necessary; construction, janitorial, or warehouse background a plus.


• Skills & Traits:

• Willingness to learn and follow instructions precisely.

• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly.

• Good communication and teamwork attitude.

• Flexible schedule for after‑hours or weekend emergency calls.

• Certifications: Must obtain IICRC WRT (Water Restoration Technician) within first 12 months (company‑sponsored).

• Licenses: Valid driver’s license with clean record preferred.


Performance Metrics

Position Title: Office Assistant

Department: Administration

Reports To: Office Manager

Employment Type: Full‑time, hourly (Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m.; occasional after‑hours call routing)


Position Summary

The Office Assistant provides front‑line administrative and customer‑service support for Roeun’s Restoration and Cleaning. This entry‑level role handles incoming calls, schedules jobs, maintains digital records, and assists with basic billing tasks to keep daily operations organized and efficient.


Area Typical Duties

Customer Service • Answer phones and route calls/messages promptly.• Respond to email and web‑form inquiries within service‑level targets.• Greet walk‑in clients and vendors courteously.

Scheduling & Dispatch Support • Enter new leads and approved jobs into the scheduling system.• Confirm appointment dates/times with customers.• Text or email daily job itineraries to field crews.

Data Entry & Filing • Create digital job folders; scan and upload paperwork, photos, and signed authorizations.• Maintain accurate client and insurance information in CRM/Job‑management software.

Billing Assistance • Prepare draft invoices from time/labor sheets and material receipts.• Send payment reminders and record incoming payments.

Supplies & Office Upkeep • Monitor stock of office supplies, PPE forms, and printed materials.• Place approved orders and organize deliveries.• Keep reception and common areas neat.

Team Support • Generate daily/weekly reports for the Office Manager or Owner.• Assist with social‑media review requests and basic marketing mail‑outs.• Help coordinate technician certification paperwork or travel bookings.


Qualifications

• Education: High‑school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or vocational certificate in business/office administration preferred.

• Experience: 1 year in an office, receptionist, or customer‑service role desired (construction, restoration, or service industry a plus).

• Skills & Traits:

• Strong phone etiquette and written communication.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and willingness to learn job‑tracking software.

• Accurate typing/data‑entry skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to juggle multiple tasks calmly in a fast‑paced environment.

• Positive attitude and team mindset.

• Other: Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
